Board Room

Background

O2K was tasked with creating connected virtual rooms for training through video conferencing for an MNC.

Requirements :

  • A virtual training room that connects 17 training rooms distributed along 3 different floors via video conference.
  • All rooms had to be connected internally to enable a faculty to address all the rooms from one room.
  • Individual rooms should have the capabilities of:
    • Presentation
    • Annotation
    • Video conference (shared video conference)
    • Training sessions
    • Capability to book the training rooms

Challenges :

  • We had to find a solution that would enable the client to use 5 video conferencing devices across 17 rooms

Solutions Provided

  • We had to find a solution that would enable the client to use 5 video conferencing devices across 17 rooms
  • A room booking system with 7” panels was mounted outside each room, showing the availability status of the room.
  • Video and audio were distributed between rooms and floors on a single cat5 cable from the centralized room.
  • Each room had an individual audio and video system connected to the centralized AV System.
  • The system was designed in such a way that the client could book the video conference equipment and the same would be blocked and connected to that particular room.
  • Each room was equipped with 2 PTZ cameras which could be connected to the video conference codec when required.
